Your photos should be conservative, high-resolution, a good mix of you alone and you with your children/partner/family, and try to avoid selfies as much as possible. If you don't have any good recent pictures, a useful tip is to have a friend or family member take a few quick snaps of you outside in natural light with a decent-qualify phone camera! They don't need to be professional - but the profiles with better photos tend to get looked at more than those with poor quality pictures.
